Richard L. Hill Sr. is a dynamic business leader with a remarkable career in operational, sales, and entrepreneurial leadership. Born in Caruthersville, Missouri, Richard graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, double majoring in Accounting and Finance. He began his career at Terminix International in January 1982 in the accounting department, swiftly advancing to Systems Analyst in August 1982 and Manager of Systems Analysts by January 1986. His ascent continued through roles such as Manager of Call Center Operations (1992), Director of Direct Marketing (1997), and Director of Marketing and Call Center Operations (2003). Promoted to Senior Director of Sales Centers in 2006 and Vice President of Sales and Service Centers in 2011, he oversaw six centers for Terminix and TruGreen, focusing solely on Terminix from 2012 until his departure in 2015. Under his leadership, Terminix and TruGreen achieved significant sales growth, top-quartile performance rankings, and operational efficiencies through customer service improvements and digitized records.

After leaving Terminix, Richard waited a year for his non-compete agreement to expire before launching Hill Capital Partners, Inc. as the holding company for their future pest control businesses. Joined by his wife, Gayle, their 2 sons, Richard and Murphy, and son-in-law, Grey Peevy, they started building the company from the ground up. Leveraging his network of former Terminix associates and business brokers, Richard acquired Ervin’s Pest Control and, two weeks later, Forehand Pest Services, rebranding them as 901 Pest Control to reflect their Memphis heritage. While Gayle managed the office with her warm, customer-friendly demeanor—key to high customer satisfaction, Richard, his sons, and son-in-law handled field services and sales. Richard committed to a five-year partnership with Gayle managing the office, after which she could return home.

Setting 901 Pest Control apart from national competitors, Richard prioritized exceptional service quality, a friendly office and service team, high customer retention, and low employee turnover. He carefully selected PestPac by Workwave for its scalability to support the company’s growth. His focus on customer satisfaction propelled 901 Pest Control’s Google 5-star reviews from 15–20 to over 1,000. The company has been voted Memphis’ Best Pest Company in the annual Memphis Most contest eight times, the only winner in the pest category since its inception in 2017. Richard has since handed the day-to-day operations of the business over to his sons and son-in-law, who continue to build on his foundation, expanding and enhancing 901 Pest Control’s legacy.

Gayle A. Hill is a dedicated professional and family matriarch whose career in business administration and customer service has left a lasting impact in the pest control industry. Born and raised in a small town outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gayle began her career after high school at a law firm in downtown Philadelphia. In late 1979, she joined Terminix International, where her administrative talents were quickly recognized. By 1982, she was promoted as the first Administrative Analyst at Terminix responsible for the branches in the north east.

It was during her 1982 interview in Memphis that Gayle first met Richard, a young accountant at Terminix. Though Richard’s attraction to Gayle was immediate, their romance did not blossom until May 1985 while working together in Central Florida on the acquisition of 4 Terminix central Florida franchises. They were engaged five months later and married in May 1987. Gayle relocated to Memphis, where Terminix delayed the opening of their new Collierville branch to appoint her as Office Manager. In this role, she played a pivotal part in the branch’s success, hiring and training administrators and customer retention & collections, while achieving the highest termite customer retention rates in the country. Gayle remained with Terminix until the birth of their second child, when she chose to become the Chief Household Officer for the Hill family, raising three exceptional children: Richard L. Hill II, Thomas Murphy Hill, and Grace Hill Peevy.

In March 2016, Gayle joined her husband, Richard, their sons, Richard II and Thomas Murphy, and son-in-law, Grey Peevy, to launch 901 Pest Control, a new family business rooted in the greater Memphis area. According to Richard, Gayle’s sweet voice and warm personality was instrumental in building customer satisfaction and loyalty during the company’s first years in business. Her administrative expertise helped establish a strong foundation for the business, which grew rapidly through their initial acquisitions in 2016 of Ervin’s Pest Control, Forehand Pest Services and Bug Doctor in early 2018. Gayle’s commitment to exceptional service contributed to 901 Pest Control earning over 1,000 Google 5-star reviews and winning the Memphis Most contest as Best Pest Company eight times since 2017.

Today, Gayle remains a cornerstone of the Hill family, supporting her sons and son-in-law, who now manage the daily operations at 901 Pest Control, and her daughter, Grace, a nurse at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. Gayle’s legacy is one of professional excellence, family devotion, and community impact, with 901 Pest Control standing as a testament to her and Richard’s shared vision of exceptional service! Richard and Gayle have 3 children, 2 daughter in laws, 1 son in law, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 3 more grandchildren due later this year!

With over a decade of experience in the pest control industry, Richard Hill serves as the General Manager of 901 Pest Control, where he leads with a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. He is fully licensed in both Tennessee and Mississippi for Wood-Destroying Insects (WDI) and General Pest Control (GRC), and brings hands-on expertise and leadership to every job.

Beyond his professional role, Richard is a proud husband to Lauren Hill of Collierville, TN, and a dedicated father to two daughters, Emerson and Madison. The Hill family also includes two beloved dogs. When he’s not managing pest protection services, Richard enjoys restoring old cars and spending time at the lake with his family.

Murphy Hill brings over a decade of experience in the pest and termite industry to his role as Sales Manager at 901 Pest Control. Licensed in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas for both Wood Destroying Insects (WDI) and General Rodent Control (GRC), Murphy is committed to providing expert solutions and top-notch service to customers across the Mid-South.

Beyond his professional expertise, Murphy is a devoted husband to his wife Katie, and a proud dog dad to Duke and Hyde. When he’s not helping clients protect their homes and businesses, you’ll likely find him on the golf course—boasting a 10.5 handicap—or out for an early morning run. A lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Murphy brings the same passion and dedication to his work that he does to cheering on his team.

Grey Peevy serves as the Marketing and Administration Manager at 901 Pest Control, where he leads marketing efforts and manages call and scheduling operations to keep the business running smoothly. With nearly 10 years of experience in the pest control industry, Grey is licensed in both Wood-Destroying Insects (WDI) and General Rodent Control (GRC) in the state of Tennessee.

Grey is married to his wife, Grace, and together they have a son, Foster. Their family also includes two dogs, Cooper and Goose. A lifelong golf enthusiast, Grey has competed both recreationally and competitively throughout his life. He enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and running. Grey is also an avid supporter of Auburn University athletics.
